PVPM1040X – IV Curve Tracer for Installers and Inspectors
Our performance recommendation for solar technicians and installers who mainly install and maintain residential PV systems for private customers is the PVPM1040X.
The devices of the PVPM series enable the measurement of the I-V curve of photovoltaic modules and strings. Using a patented method, the device can calculate the peak power, Rs, and Rp directly from the measured curve on-site at the PV installation and display the results on the built-in graphic display.
The PVPM1040X is a portable measuring device with a rugged plastic housing, integrated battery power supply, and external charger. The device operates with a powerful miniature industrial PC and is equipped with a high-contrast, high-resolution TFT graphic display. Measurements and analysis can be carried out without additional equipment. Data transfer to a PC is enabled via a standard USB interface.
Operation is menu-driven and intuitive, requiring no training.

- Additionally, the measurement of the module's rear-side temperature is possible using the standard RTD PT100 module temperature sensor included
