PVe PVPM2540C – IV Curve Tracer for PV modules and small strings up to 250VDC / 40ADC
The devices of the PVPM series enable the measurement of the I-V curve of photovoltaic modules and strings. Using a patented method, the device can calculate the peak power, Rs, and Rp directly from the measured curve on-site at the PV installation and display the results on the built-in graphic display.
Here's how fast you can measure peak power: Simply connect the included cables to both the measuring device and the solar generator. Align the supplied combination sensor (irradiance/temperature) parallel to the solar module, turn on the device, press a button twice – and that’s it! The measurement results, including peak power, are immediately displayed on the built-in screen and automatically stored permanently.
Entering module data is generally not required for the measurement (but possible).
The PVPM2540C IV curve tracer is a portable device in a robust metal housing with built-in battery power supply and external charger. The unit is equipped with its own powerful miniature industrial PC and a high-contrast TFT touch display, making it usable independently of additional devices. If required, a PC can be connected via a standard USB interface to transfer and further analyze the measurement data.
The PVPM2540C is conveniently operated via an on-screen menu. Functions are clearly labeled with simple symbols, and the user is guided through the program at all times. Hardly any training is required to operate the device.
