for up to 250V & 40ADC
PVe Peak Meter 2540C – Portable peak power meter / characteristic I-V curve tracer for photovoltaic systems with up to 250V, 40ADC
The devices in the PVPM series enable the measurement of the I-V characteristic curve of photovoltaic modules and strings. Using a patented process, the device can calculate the peak power, Rs and Rp from the measured characteristic curve directly at the installation site of the PV system and display them on the built-in graphic display.
Here's how fast you can measure peak power: Simply connect the included cables to both the measuring device and the solar generator. Align the supplied combination sensor (irradiance/temperature) parallel to the solar module, turn on the device, press a button twice – and that’s it! The measurement results, including peak power, are immediately displayed on the built-in screen and automatically stored permanently.
Entering module data is generally not required for measurement (though it is possible).
The PVPM2540C is a mobile measuring device housed in a robust metal casing with a built-in battery power supply and an external charger. It features a high-performance miniature industrial PC and a high-contrast TFT touch graphic display, allowing it to function independently without additional devices. However, if needed, a PC can be connected via a standard USB interface for data transfer and further analysis.
The PVPM2540C is operated via an intuitive on-screen menu. Functions are clearly labeled with simple icons, and the user is guided through the process at all times. Minimal training is required for operation.
- Durable metal housing with an adjustable stand/carrying handle and a robust foil front panel. All sockets for measurement operation and external power supply are easily accessible on the front panel.
- Irradiance reference sensor NES SOZ-03 with integrated Pt1000 sensor for measuring irradiance and cell temperature
- Measurement of the module rear side temperature with an RTD PT100 module temperature sensor
